Matthew Shirk is the founder, CEO and the wine maker at ADAMS Vintners: A boutique winery in South Central Pennsylvania (Annville). He has 30 years of wine making experience. This experience was gained from his father, who was a chef with a passion for the creation of food, not just its preparation.
After Matt became unfulfilled with his cubicle life, he decided follow his dream and enter the food and beverage industry, where he was raised. He started with his and his late father’s gastronomic approach to wine making, learned to scale-up production and opened ADAMS Vintners to the public in 2013.
ADAMS Vintners varietals have been carefully crafted to span both aspects of the wine enthusiast: Food pairing and social enjoyment. It is quickly becoming a regional favorite and has increased its production capacity by 400% and plans are underway for another expansion of 600%.
Matt is a father of two sons, a US Navy veteran and a graduate of Penn State University.
ADAMS Vintners is open Wednesday through Sunday and even offers a limited small-plate menu designed by Matt and his chef to share his gastronomic experience.
